Canjo/Diddly bows

Early blues guitarists most likely started on Didly Bows. These were single string instruments that used a can as a resonator. Most of these were unfretted and needed a slide to play. My Canjos are made with a tuner as well as frets for easy playing. I set my frets as a diatonic scale (Do, Re, Me….) so there are no sharps and flats to make it hard to play. The frets are numbered so you can look on the net for thousands of songs to play. My cans are modern cans with often vintage labels.
