Welcome to the site of my cigar box guitars that I make and sell. I always wanted to learn to play guitar and was also fascinated by early blues artists. I found that many learned on home made guitars. Because many of these artists lived on farms and store bought guitars were too expensive, they resorted to creating their own instruments form the material they had. Cigar boxes were plentiful and many would use a broom handle for a neck and the wire from the broom as a string. These were called Didly Bows. Some were more sophisticated .
My guitars take those early designs. I use found objects and combine that with quality tuners, strings and good building techniques to create a fine playing folk instrument.
This site is to show you some examples of my work and to provide a convenient way to pay and create a shipping label. Please click the other pages to see some of my work.
